There may be times when a Designer needs to switch from one unit to another in PCB. The usual ways are to either

A) Go to the Options/Configure/Units - and select either Mils or MM
B) Set up a 'hotkey' (I don't think this is possible to do reliably)
C) Record a Macro - and then play it back

All of the above methods suffer from one weakness... they require more than one button press to acheive the desired results.

Well, now there is another method that can be used, and it is FREE.

Using DBX2Units, all one needs to do is to install the program, set it up as a Custom Button, and then whenever one needs to switch from Mils to MM, or MM to Mils, 'Press the Button'.

It's that simple. Plus, it's free.

To get your copy of DBX2Units, click on the link below and download the Zipped program.

Unzip the file into a temporary sub-directory, and then run the Setup.exe.

In P-CAD 2004, ust the 'Utils.../Customize...' feature to name and setup the Custom Button.

That's it! Now you are ready to use the Units switcher!
